This is my first DIY project to post to my blog. I am not a super creative person nor am I very handy, but hey I try. I had bought a rack at Hobby Lobby to hang my towels on in my bathroom, but it just looked lost on my wall. So that is how I came up with this idea.
I started with this old door that had been used in a chicken coop. I brushed it really good with a stiff broom and wiped it down.
I dry brushed the door with paint. Do not overload your brush with paint. Let the wood show through. Don't cover it completely. After painting it, I used a clear sealer.
Now I am going to mount this door to my bathroom wall. I left all the original hardware on the door. There was no door knob, so I added a glass doorknob. I am very happy with this project. Now if I can get my husband to finish the project behind the door!
